We tried many different covers while my son was a newborn (Bummis, Litewrap, DiaperWrap, Proraps, the list goes on...) and Thirsties were by far the best. That said, you can imagine how excited I was when they came out with Duos! I bought one in each boy-friendly color in size 2 instead of transitioning to Medium original Thirsties. Big mistake! These are not the same quality as the originals AT ALL. I think the inner laminate must be made of slightly different material or something because it simply doesn't hold up in the wash! After only two cycles, the waterproof coating began to peel off and crack. I am a cloth diapering addict and am VERY careful about how I wash my dipes and covers. I always line dry them and treat them very gently so I know I didn't do anything wrong to cause this. As a result of the peeling, urine sometimes gets wicked through to the outside cover. For now, the covers are still useable. Even when the urine soaks through a little, not enough gets through to cause any dampness to my son's clothes. However, it means I have to wash the covers more - which is worriesome considering how they're already having problems holding up. I'm so disappointed! I thought these were going to save us money in the long run. Now I'm probably going to need to go back to the original Thirsties and write these off as a loss.
